Did you know?
Public art is central to Jean-Pierre Morin’s work: he believes it can be a catalyst for different situations – reflexive, artistic, aesthetic. He has made more than 30 public artworks since the late 1980s. These monumental yet enchanting pieces are born of a consuming passion for the properties of materials, and reflect the artist’s extensive research into form. Morin took inspiration from the site – the BAnQ – for this work. Meaning is the very essence of the place that is the Grande Bibliothèque: a place of knowledge and its transmission.
